QUEEN CITY VS COLORADO RUSH MATCH REPORT 3/18/17

QC D4 squad had their first run out as a squad. Scoring a lot and often. The final against the Rush 78 – 0 in a D4 league match. Forwards played hard and the backs had a field day against the Rush. The team thoroughly enjoyed themselves, playing together for the first time. As in the first game, too many penalties; however, that can be expected as we learn the game and learn to play together. The temperature rising during the day left some tired players and left some decision-making needing work; comes from training. Thank you to all that come out to fill out the side. Nick Opp was a huge asset to the game. Mike Fealey stepped up to set-up three perfect tries. James Jimenez helping by playing a second match as did Grant Fabian; each scoring a couple of tries for their D4 brethren’s. Mattie Williams coming out to put on the boots once again as did Anthony Rogers. Evan Thompson scored his first try in his first game ever! Well done.

Welcome to our guest from the Denver Bulldogs; hope you enjoyed the match. On such a beautiful day, the beer and food was plentiful under the pavilion. Back Player of the Match went to Alex Knorr; the Forward Player of the Match went to Jake Anderson; and the Man of the Match went to Charlie Keener. The D4 Man of the Match went to Steve O’Malley; welcome back Steve. Congratulations to all!! A good time was had by all at Nallen’s Irish Pub that evening.
